In a cooperative effort between Volunteer Home Maintenance Program and TEAMwork for Quality Living, Operation Fresh Start has become an annual event. More than 100 volunteers gave more than 1,200 hours working on 11 projects in mid-June throughout Delaware County. The volunteers accomplished this in two three-day periods. The project included many people working on houses, but there were many planners, meal preparers and data gatherers who helped carry the operation to success. The volunteers were able to turn part of Muncie overrun with weeds and debris into something quite beautiful. The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County donated $3,000 to the effort. |
