Over the years homes need many types of repair.  Sometimes, because of lack of money or handiness with tools these are not made, and the home falls into despair.

Many clients are elderly and frail, unable both physically and financially to keep their homes in an adequate living condition.  Often, a widow cannot keep basic home elements in good condition.

VHMP helps clients from all of Delaware County, not just within the city of Muncie.  Our goal is to provide help with minor repair and maintenance guidance to improve quality of life for those who cannot afford contractor's services to do so.

Referrals are made to us by agencies, but persons may also apply directly.  Those who qualify must show their income is insufficient to pay for contracted services, they own the home or are in the process, and there is a real need.

Typical work done by VHMP includes:

Gutter cleaning and repair
Removing tree limbs and foundation growth
Minor roof and porch repairs
Building ramps for physically handicapped
Minor plumbing and electrical repairs
Door and window repairs and weathering
Interior floor and wall repairs
